Wedding cardigans
Also, is Beth Dutton okay? Pls weigh in
Hi, cold souls! You know me from Handpicked or Buy Art. I’m always cold and I love shopping. Grab a sweatshirt and let’s go.
✵ Three things for cold people
1 - My true cannot-live-without product as a Cold Soul are these bra inserts. I simply detest surprise breezes when I’m especially, ahem, vulnerable. These actually provide a degree of warmth in bathing suits/ thin things, as well as peace of mind re: modesty.
2 - Brewing a daily pot of tea is ~the~ cheapest way to warm oneself year round. I don’t really drink caffeine, but I LIVE AND DIE by my morning cup of cacao or herbal tea. For half the price of a cashmere sweater, my Cuisinart 14-Cup Coffee Maker is the hero of my cold life.
3 - Can we talk about Beth Dutton? Obviously, a spectacular soap opera television character, but MAN I worried about that woman’s temp. She’s out here in nothing but a slip dress, meanwhile Rip and Kacey are wrapped in head-to-toe Carhartt canvas and wool. Homegirl had to have been freezing.
✵ Wedding cardigans
Did you wear a cardigan at your wedding? Borrow your husband’s jacket? Wrap up with a pashmina?
I wore a cardigan at my reception, but it was kind of an afterthought, just a white cotton one I picked from Banana Republic that didn’t match my dress at all. (My wedding was almost fifteen years ago, gulp!)
My requirements for a wedding cardigan: cannot be bulky over a gown (sizing down can help); details are delicate, fancy, and feminine; must be ACTUALLY WARM, so primarily made from non-synthetic fibers, like silk, alpaca, or cashmere.
Here are a few I’d wear now, if I were a bride this year.
